So finally a day without a plan or a purpose. Something that reminds me that I’ve been here a week and a half already. Wow, that’s been fast.
My friend the store manager: After guiding Tove Lise to the bus at South Station, I really didn’t have much more to spend my day with. I needed a new jacket for my “business casual” on Tuesday. I checked out some stores but ended up at the mens store I’ve been to a few times before. It’s the fourth time a come to them and it’s kind of fun since they remember me from time to time. They had a good selection of jackets and I found what I needed for a discounted price. Funny that the only American I’ve met who remembers me from time to time is a store manager. Money talks, huh.
The big screen: We invited the other Norwegians for a little get together in our flat, but close to no other Norwegians have yet gotten stateside. So instead, Oystein and I went to the cinema at Harvard to see “There will be blood”. A kind of sad film but with strong actors giving me an ambivalent feel to the movie. Go and see it if you feel like it
The flat: We ended our night after the movie with buying sushi and kicking back in front of our flat screen tv with a couple of beer and raw fish. Nice to see our place serves that purpose as well. Considering that I’m a married man and Oystein is living with his sweetheart, we held the student image pretty well for the night.
